STUDIO SPACE
The sculpture studio is available for artists to rent for either a short term project or as a permanent base for their practice.
There are several open and flexible spaces available to accommodate artists; from small studios approximately 4 x 4 metres, to a larger spaces up to 20 x 20 metres in size - ideal for larger projects and public art commissions.
We have an established studio and workshop facility in our main building with 600 sq metres of floor space and 5.5 metres in height - an ideal creative space for a broad range of artistic pursuits; including performance and site specific art projects. Our aim is to encourage established and early career artists to utilise these facilities and explore new artistic themes in their work.
CREATIVE WORKSPACE IN THE COUNTRYSIDE
The metal workshop is well equipped with welding plant for stainless and carbon steel and a dedicated aluminium spool welder. The metal shop has a hypertherm plasma cutter, ideal for cutting steel up to 12mm thick. A wide selection of power tools and a large capacity air tank with several air tools for grinding and cutting steel. Our high reach forklift can be used as a mobile crane extending to over 5 mtrs and ideal for moving and loading large sculptures.
The wood shop has a dedicated space and equipped with a cross cut saw and table saw and sheet cutting plunge saw for larger sheets.
The shop has a wide selection of power and hand tools for working with small and large timber.
